This photographic journey takes us to beautiful
South of Cape Cod and just west of of Nantucket,
lies Martha's Vineyard, an island culture steeped
in the history and lore of the sea.
It's a great place to take photographs!
An old world atmosphere, and the natural
beauty of the island make this a very special
place on the earth.The unique charm of the Vineyard is reflected
everywhere, and in everything, on the island.Strolling around the colorful harbors and towns,
it can be seen in the island architecture.
Whether walking along the seashore, or exploring
the various island ponds, the senses are stirred
to an indefinable longing not unlike nostalgia,
as if you had been here before.There is a feeling of magic that surrounds the
many gardens and historic homes of the stalwart Vineyarders.The daily life of the island shows these islanders
to be a people of great diversity who seem to share a philosophy of rugged independence, tempered by a quiet dignity.All in all, the beauty and allure of Martha’s Vineyard is evident to all who are fortunate enough to set foot on her ground.
